Wuṯpurruŋu Wunuŋmurra is a Dhaḻwaŋu woman from Gapuwiyak in Northeast Arnhem Land, with family connections to Gurrumuru and Baḻma homeland. A respected community leader, she has lived and worked in Gapuwiyak all her life. At ARDS, Wuṯpurruŋu leads child and family work in community and mentors new staff. Her practice is grounded in Yolŋu cultural frameworks and guided by trauma-informed and brain development approaches. She is passionate about supporting children to find the right path and grow up strong in culture and gurruṯu (kinship). She co-authored “
