Doyen Radcliffe is a Yamatji Naaguja man from the Midwest region of Western Australia. He is the Founder and CEO of Bajja Yungayimanha Collaboration, a First Nations-led consultancy, and a respected First Nations leader, evaluator and community development practitioner with decades of experience supporting Aboriginal communities across WA and the Northern Territory. Doyen is a delegate and signatory to the Uluru Statement from the Heart, an Australian Evaluation Society Fellow, and was awarded the Bill Armstrong AO Human Rights Award in 2021 for his long-standing commitment to human rights, community empowerment and First Nations wellbeing. He has held senior roles with Community First Development, including Regional Manager and National Community Development Advisor, where he supported community-led development, participatory monitoring and evaluation, and the development of CFD’s Community Development Framework. He also contributed to the development and use of the Seed to Tree technique, supporting communities to identify, grow and strengthen their own ideas, leadership and long-term outcomes. Doyen is a former Director and Vice President of the Australian Evaluation Society and has contributed to strengthening culturally safe evaluation practice, including through the AES Indigenous Culture and Diversity Committee, the AES First Nations Cultural Safety Framework and Reconciliation Action Plan. He also brings strong governance experience, having served on several Aboriginal community-controlled boards, including Naaguja Warangkarri Aboriginal Corporation and Marr Koodjal Aboriginal Corporation. Across his work, Doyen is committed to building First Nations leadership, self-determination and stronger outcomes for communities.
