I am a Wiradjuri woman, rural generalist doctor, cultural governance lead and consultant working across health system reform, evaluation, medical education and First Nations-led policy development. My work focuses on how organisations can move beyond consultation and compliance toward genuine shared decision-making, cultural legitimacy and systems-level accountability. I am particularly interested in how evaluation practice can better embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authority from the outset — not as an advisory add-on, but as a governance function that shapes purpose, design, interpretation and accountability. My current work explores culturally governed evaluation as a way of strengthening methodological rigour while ensuring evaluation reflects First Nations priorities, knowledge systems and definitions of success.
