Nathan is a Wiradjuri man from Wellington NSW and currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Strategy and Leadership at the University of Newcastle. Prior to joining the University Nathan worked in a variety of roles for the NSW Department of Education, finishing as Principal at Newcastle High School in 2019. Nathan is an extremely passionate educator who is leading the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education and Research Framework across the University of Newcastle. He is also partnering with the NSW Department of Education to shift evaluation processes to include Aboriginal values and knowledge systems.
