Su-Ann is a Senior Manager specialising in program evaluation within Grosvenor’s public sector advisory practice. She has more than a decade of experience across management consulting, state government (including health, mental health, and alcohol and other drug policy and commissioning), and life sciences research, and brings that mix of perspectives to how she approaches complex policy and program questions. This background shapes how she approaches evaluation, bringing together methodological rigour and a practical understanding of how policy and programs operate. She enjoys work where the evidence is not straightforward and where there are competing perspectives on what the findings mean. She is particularly interested in how evaluation holds up in practice in these environments, and how evaluators and commissioners navigate the ethical tensions that can arise. Su-Ann will be presenting at AES26 on evaluation under pressure and ethical challenges in commissioning. She also writes about evaluation methods, and is always interested in hearing how others are approaching similar tensions in their work.
